Everyday I play the most popular video game created and hear myself-- it’s a different level of WOW. This is how one Reddit post lead me to the Underworld King, HADES!
THE IDEA:
Hades, brother of Zeus, is forced to rule the underworld—not by choice, but by duty. A role rarely praised, yet one that casts him as a silent hero despite his dark nature. He embodies the truth:
“If nobody wants to be the bad guy, I’ll do it.”
We wanted to create anticipation and amplify Hades’ mythic presence before he’s even playable! What does that feel and sound like?
THE WORK:
Enter WHYTRI and Spencer Sotelo’s “You’re All Mine” — the Level 90 lobby theme that embodies the backstory and aura of Hades. When I co-wrote, performed, and voiced this track for Fortnite, I wasn’t just creating a villain. I was channeling an anti-hero who demands to be felt and respected, with cold, detached vocals carrying the pain and rebellion etched into his story.
THE RESULTS:
“You’re All Mine” resonated with the community, earning over 1.7 million views on YouTube and sparking thousands of reactions across TikTok, YouTube, and Instagram. It drove social buzz and in-game engagement, helping players connect with Hades’ story and amplifying his Level 100 unlock as one of Fortnite’s most memorable final characters. I also created custom copy and personal promotional content to fuel awareness and excitement.
